Born and raised in Austria, Bernie began his career in the Hospitality industry before he was twenty years old. Since completing his studies at Hotel school and an apprenticeship in culinary arts in Gmunden Austria, he has worked on four continents in numerous countries, many in the third world.The latter 22 years of this part of his career was as General Manager of some of the regions finest Hotels and Clubs. |
Included in these operations were La Belle Creole and Conrad Hotels, St Martin, French West Indies, Le Royal Meridien Hotel Bahrain, the Moscow Palace Hotel, Russia, the Royal Meridien Hotel Bristol, Warsaw and the Resort Horizon, Hainan Island, China.
Because of the Geographical locations of his career he now speaks 5 languages fluently and has an acute knowledge of many cultures and people from diverse ethnic backgrounds. These sensitivities are an attribute to sourcing the right candidates in the professional selection process.
His vast experience in management roles range from City Centre Business Hotel operations to Resort Properties, with all the extra activities involved. His exposure to Golf Resorts and his knowledge of operating and managing this type of operation is substantial and of particular assistance in consultancy assignments where this forms part of the overall operations.
After 5 years experience in the Consulting and Executive Search field, Bernie founded GoldeNet International. |
